Voting behaviour of young adults

The elections for state parliament and local councils in Vienna sparked a new debate over whether voting age should be lowered to 16. In five Austrian provinces, young adults aged 16 are already eligible to vote for state parliament while the minimum age for casting vote in general elections for federal government is 18.
