L'alfabetizzazione femminile nel Me

L'alfabetizzazione femminile durante il Medioevo era sorprendentemente alta. Le monache erano autrici e scrivani. Molte altre donne incoraggiavano la lettura e l'apprendimento, soprattutto le donne nobili. Un esempio fu Christine de Pizan, poetessa alla corte del re Carlo VI di Francia.
