Bildnis des Glashändlers Johann Spiegelhalder
The portrait depicts Johann Spiegelhalder. As an Alsace merchant, he supplied both Alsace and France with glassware. He was also the mayor of Altglashütten and the grandfather of the well-known collector, Oskar Spiegelhalder. The companion piece to this painting is the portrait of his wife Crescentina Spiegelhalder.
