Limoges Bronze Enamelled Plaque
A Limoges plaque in bronze and enamel shows a figure of a man set in a round-headed frame with floral decoration. The body is engraved but the head is cast. The enamel is gold and blue. Such Limoges plaques often formed part of book bindings that covered precious manuscripts.
