Thronender Buddha
The art of Gandhâra, a north-western province of ancient India and located in what is now eastern Afghanistan and western Pakistan, was created through a fusion of ancient Indian and Hellenistic-Roman elements. This Buddha statuette also bears witness to this. (AVS)
