A Cook/ Relative Declares Citizenship in Cincinnati, Ohio

My grandfather, James Burns, was born 09/09/99 (ie. 1899)

I found this picture in his bible where I live in Cincinnati, Ohio.

It's a photograph of Margaret Burns, a relative of his. She was born in Ballymoney, Ireland. The image is of a document titled "Declaration of Intention," dated May 18, 1882, to enter the US.

I found it interesting that she couldn't remember where she emigrated from, …
