Liber viaticus Johannis Noviforensis is a key manuscript in the development of Bohemian book painting. The manuscript was ordered by Johannes Noviforensis, the court chancellor to Charles IV and Bishop of Litomyšl and Olomouc. Its decoration was inspired by French and Italian painting.
