Flask, or claret jug, and stopper, France (Clichy-la-Garenne), made by L. Joseph Maës, Cristalleries de Clichy, 1867-1867, 718-1869.
Flask and flask stopper in coloured glass, with painted decoration in gilding and enamels. The form of the flask is based on a Venetian shape. Its decoration combines Chinese floral ornament of the 1400s with Moorish arches.
