SERIES TITLE: Milestones in the history of Hungarian Technology
Titusz Ottó Bláthy (1860-1939). His most significant invention is the transformator that he constructed together with Déri and Zipernowsky in 1885. The transformator was built with a closed iron core, as suggested by Bláthy. Their joint work resulted in one of the most significant inventions in the electronics of the time.
