Copper alloy arrow head. Small rectangular label with '1693' written thereon in red ink. 41mm long. Barbed, broken tip. Socketed. Such arrowheads, are described by Petrie 1907 (Tools and Weapons p 35) as 'of Persian introduction at the Palace of Memphis'. Thus according to Petrie this type of arrow was introduced around 525 BC.
