Viking silver penannular brooch from Cumbria
The item is a plate from the Archaeological Journal (see Bibliography).The engraving shows the silver penannular brooch found with a torque in a crevice in the rock on the north side of Orton Scar, at Crosby Ravensworth, in April 1847, and given to the Society of Antiquaries by Thomas Revely in 1851.
