Roman altar from London
The drawing shows a rear view of a Roman altar found in excavating the foundations for the new Goldsmith's Hall in Foster Lane, Cheapside, London, in December 1830. The relief design shows a Roman three-legged table or brazier, with a vase, and remains of an incription.
