Chebaish village in the South Iraq Marshes
In Chebaish, not far from Nasiriyah, people still live in the marshes similarily as pre-Sumerian people used to live, inside reed houses built on the small islands of the Southern Iraq marshes. This model shows a unique and well preserved way of life, based on buffalo farming and reed. Digitised by participants during the Tech 4 Heritage workshops.
