Valentine's Day hearts

The English poet Geoffrey Chaucer was the first to link Valentine's Day with romantic love, in his poem The Parliament of the Birds in 1382. "...St Valentine is a great lord above, For his love many a bird sings, Now hail, summer, soft sunshine, To make the winter's weather forget. ..."
