A selection process will soon get underway in South Africa to find people with tuberculosis to take part in the clinical trials required before the RUTI vaccine, developed in Badalona, Spain, can be placed on the market. If all goes as expected, the vaccine will be available in 2015. It will be the first new tuberculosis vaccine to appear in 90 years.
