Bracelet

Origin: Melville Island. Ring made of spirally wound ribbons of leaves interwoven with dark brown fibres, fibres protruding at the top and attached to the ring by a resin ring. In the past several of these objects have been brought together in Dutch collections. A bracelet (pamajini) in the Rijksmuseum voor Volkenkunde is one of the oldest objects collected by the Tiwi.
