Discovering the Mercantour
SERIES TITLE: 12/13 News
The Mercantour National Park was created in 1979. Its creation caused controversy and reactions as hunters felt threatened. The function of the park is to protect the natural environment and find out which species live there. Likewise, the park has to welcome the public and make it aware of environmental issues.
