Medieval pewter vessel from the Vale of Glamorgan
The drawing shows a pewter vessel found during excavations in1867 in the chancel of Porthkerry church. It was thought by A W Franks to be either a container for holy water or a torch holder (see Bibliography). It had a cross stamped on its base.
